Swingin' Hams

Each year, club members choose a swine project to raise to market weight for fair or carcass class. Members learn about housing, nutrition, quality assurance, train for showmanship class, and record keeping. Each member will create a poster assignment by family to be presented at the May meeting. Posters are exhibited during the fair in their booth.

We meet the first Tuesday of each month unless otherwise stated in Agenda.

Club members are expected to complete the project book provided by Advisor, participate in Skillathon judging and take an exhibit to fair, if space is available.

Clubs community service projects have been donating smoke detectors to fire departments, reflectors to Amish community, raising hogs for Feed by Sheep, and Geauga Jobs and Family Services.
