Riders Express

Who We Are:  We are the Riders Express 4-H Horse Club with a focus on developing our riding skills and overall knowledge of horses.

When the Club Meets:  The club meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month at Mrs. Moone’s house at 7:00 P.M.  Meetings in June, July, and August are held in the pavilion at the Geauga County Fairgrounds and start at 6:30 P.M. with the opportunity to bring your horse to ride after the meeting.

Advisors: Cheryl Moone, Sherri Jarvie, Cristin Moone,  Cyndi Moschella

Club Focus: Each member works on a 4-H project book such as Nutrition, Jumping, Trail, etc. Members participate in a Skillathon in late July to test their knowledge about horses. Horse show competitions take place at the Geauga County Fairgrounds multiple times during May, June, July & August and during the Great Geauga County Fair.

Other Club Activities: In addition to project work, community service is very important to the Riders Express Club. We have done a variety of things, such as visiting nursing homes to assist with holiday decorating, events held collecting food and pet supplies for local animal shelters.

How to Join: For more information, please contact Cheryl Moone at 440-543-2256. Since the club is large, enrollment is closed at times.
