Flockmaster’s Minutes

 February 20, 2007

7pm – Burton Fairgrounds

The meeting was called to order by President Mary Madeline.  17 members attended the meeting.  (Treasure’s report, old business) Everyone was given a hat and bead necklace because it was Fat Tuesday.

Madeline will bring grocery bags to the next meeting.  They are for the contest of filling the bags and giving it to a charity.  We will vote on the charity at the next meeting.

The club voted on doing two fundraisers.  One will be a movie night/bake sale/Chinese auction all in one.  The movie night committee includes Adam, George, Madeline, Jessica, Amanda and Mrs. Peshke.  They will be deciding the date and time of the movie.  Also, they will decide if it will be cost effective to have.  The other fundraiser will be another flower sale.  Since the last one went very well.   

We were reminded to order Turkeys by March 1st and chickens and ducks by April 15th.

The 4-H promotion display will be from March 4th – 10th.  Anyone is welcome to help. 

The club officers will be meeting on March 13th at Joel’s to discuss the 4-H club charter.  We will go over the charter at the next meeting on March 20th.

Amanda did an excellent job on her project explaining the Avian Bird Flu.  Monica did a very informative project on how to Market Yourself.

Awards were given out to the club members.

The meeting was then adjourned and we had refreshments.
