Coyotes Shooting Sports

This is the fifth year of the club's existence. The emphasis this season is on Archery discipline.

When the Club Meets: Every other week January-May. Indoor archery sessions are held at the Geauga Fairgrounds in Burton and outdoor fun shoots are held courtesy of the Geauga Bowmen Club in Chesterland.

Advisors: Kirk Bacon, Mike Southern, Neil Yost. Our advisors are certified in the archery, hunting and shotgun disciplines.

Club Purpose:

1. To teach the safe and responsible use of firearms and archery equipment including sound decision-making,self-discipline and concentration.

2. To encourage an understanding of natural resource concepts such as conservation vs. preservation through the ethical and rewarding pursuit of hunting.

3. To support existing hunter-safety programs.

4. To support and serve local wildlife programs and organizations including ODNR, DU, WTU, sportsmen clubs and sporting businesses.

Club Focus: Archery and Trap Shooting. Members also learn hunting instruction and natural resource information.

Club Activities: For Community Service, the members help at the Archer's Club and with the Geauga Bowmen's Club. Field trips take place during the summer.
